Matomo (formerly Piwik)
This website uses the Matomo open source web analytics service. Matomo uses cookies. These are text files stored on your computer to enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookies about the use of this website is saved on our server for this purpose. The IP address is made anonymous prior to storage.
Matomo cookies will be retained on your end device until deletion.
Storing Matomo cookies and using this analysis tool is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest to analyse user behaviour in an anonymous manner in order to optimise both the website and advertising.
The information created by the cookie regarding the use of this website will not be shared with third parties. By adjusting your browser settings accordingly, it is possible to prevent the storage of cookies; if you do so, however, we would like to inform you that you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent.
If you do not agree to the storage and use of your data, it is possible to deactivate the storage and use here. If this happens, an opt-out cookie will be stored in your browser, which prevents Matomo from storing usage data. If the cookies are deleted, the Matomo opt-out cookie will also be deleted. Such opt-out must be reactivated when visiting our site again.
Transmission of data to a third country
Data may be transferred to third countries (i.e. countries that are not members of the European Union or the European Economic Area) if this is necessary for the provision of services to you, if this is required by law or if you have given us your consent. In addition, we may also transfer your personal data to subcontractors in third countries.
Please note that not all third countries have a level of data protection recognised as adequate by the European Commission. For data transfers to third countries that do not have an adequate level of data protection, we ensure prior to the transfer that the recipient has an adequate level of data protection (e.g. adequacy decision of the European Commission or agreement on EU standard contractual clauses with the recipient) or that there is explicit consent from our users.
You can obtain from us a copy of the provisions specifically applicable or agreed upon to ensure an adequate level of data protection. Please use the information in the Contact section for this purpose.
Details of data transfers to third countries can be found in the "Special information" section.
Google Analytics Remarketing
Our websites use Google Analytics Remarketing functions together with the cross-device functions of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. The provider is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, US.
This function allows to link the target advertising groups created by Google Analytics Remarketing with the cross-device functions of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. This allows interest-based, personalised advertising messages tailored to you depending on your previous usage and surfing behaviour on one end device (e.g. mobile phone) to also be shown on another end device of yours (e.g. tablet or PC).
If you have granted consent, Google will link your web and app browsing history to your Google Account for this purpose. This way, it is possible to display the same personalised advertising messages on every device where you log in with your Google account.
Google Analytics collects Google-authenticated IDs of users to enable this function, which are then temporarily linked to our Google Analytics data in order to identify and create target groups for cross-device ad advertising.
You can object to cross-device remarketing/targeting on a permanent basis by disabling personalised advertising in your Google account; to do so, follow this link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/.
The pooling of the collected data from your Google account is based exclusively on your consent, which you can give or revoke at Google (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR). For data collection processes, which are not matched in your Google account (e.g. because you do not have a Google account or have objected to the matching), the collection of the data is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The legitimate interest is based on the interest of the website operator in anonymised analysis of website visitors for advertising purposes.
Further information and the data protection provisions can be found in Google's privacy policy at: https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/.
Google AdWords and Google Conversion-Tracking
This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising programme provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, US (“Google”).
We use the conversion tracking function as part of Google AdWords. If you click on an ad placed by Google, a cookie is set for conversion tracking. A cookie is a small text file stored by the internet browser on the user's computer. After 30 days, these cookies become invalid and are not used to identify users individually. If the user clicks on specific pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognise whether the user has clicked on the ad and been redirected to this page.
Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. These cookies cannot be tracked via the websites of AdWords customers. This information is collected using the conversion cookie and serves to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers, who have opted for conversion tracking. The customers are informed of the total number of users, who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. But they do not receive any information identifying users personally. If you object to this type of tracking, it is possible to deactivate the Google Conversion Tracking cookie in your Internet browser via your user settings. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.
Conversion cookies are stored in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the analysis of the user behaviour in order to optimise both the website and advertising.
Find out more about Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking in Google's privacy policy at: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/.
You can change the settings of your browser so that you are notified about cookies being placed and only accept cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies upon exiting the browser. The functionality of this website may be limited if cookies are deactivated.
SSL Encryption
This website uses SSL encryption to ensure security and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as enquiries submitted to us. An encrypted connection is recognisable by a change in the browser address bar from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol appearing in your browser bar.
If SSL encryption is activated, third parties cannot read the data that you transmit to us.
Information about cookies and their use
The internet pages use cookies in some cases. Cookies are small files, which enable specific information related to the device to be stored on the user's access device (PC, smartphone or similar). They are used on the one hand for the user-friendliness of websites and therefore benefit the users (e.g. storage of login data). On the other hand, they serve to collect statistical data about the use of the website and to analyse it for the purpose of improving the offer. Cookies do not damage your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies allow us to make the website more user-friendly, more effective and safer. Cookies are small text files stored on your computer and saved by your browser.
Cookies are divided into three categories:
- Absolutely necessary cookies - to ensure basic functions of the website
- Functional cookies - to ensure the performance of the website
- Target-oriented cookies - to improve the user experience
The majority of the cookies we use are so-called session cookies. These are automatically deleted at the end of your session. Other cookies stay stored on your end device until you delete them. These cookies make it possible for us to identify your browser the next time when visiting our website.
You can set the settings of your browser so that information is provided about the setting of cookies and cookies are only permitted in individual cases, so that the acceptance of cookies is excluded in certain cases or in general, and so that the automatic deletion of cookies is activated when exiting the browser. The functionality of this website may be limited if cookies are deactivated.
You can manage many online ad cookies from companies via the US site http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU website http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/.
